What are the policy goals of the Belt and Road Initiative?

The policy goals of the Belt and Road Initiative include improving intergovernmental communication for better regional cooperation, strengthening the coordination of infrastructure plans, encouraging the development of soft infrastructure like the signing of trade deals, improving financial integration and aligning of regulatory standards.

The policy also aims to connect people by cultivating expert, student and cultural exchanges and tourism. The idea of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) is to bolster the economic growth of the region by providing better inter-continental trade. The exchange of ideas between countries would help in making the region a better place to live and conduct trade.
